Quilting Ideas

Just an idea to get rid of your excess 2.5" strips. Cut a centre square or rectangle to whatever size u want (mine is 9.5") applique heart, star or even use a stitchery if u wish. Then border with 2.5" strips using the log cabin technique. If you have a small centre just keep adding the strips till you get the size u want.

I made 4 placemats and a matching runner for my ma-in-law for Mothers Day. The runner is just 4 blocks (same as placemat) rotated so the hearts face different directions.

Embellish with daisies, ric rac or buttons (mine is daisy lace sewn on after quilting).

This placemat is made with Scarborough Fair by Robyn Pandolph for RJR Fabrics.

Happy quilting xo

New Fabric

Just received my Fat Eights bundle of Fa la la la la by French General for Moda. Wow!! Love it. The colours are rich and the oyster is divine (just like the Ecole range). This is another Christmas fabric that will be displayed all year round. Rob xo

Block of the Month Update

At market on Sunday I finished stitching the border cross stitch on my Scandinavian Christmas Block 1. Alot of crosses but a good thing to stitch when you don't have to concentrate! This is a lovely quilt/wall hanging designed by Lynette Anderson. She has a new range of matching fabric coming out this year. Rob xo

Block of the Month Update

This is block 7 from my Tiny Town quilt. The birdhouses, doors and owl eyes will have buttons after quilting. Just stitching block 8 of this quilt so should have that done by end of week (On the home run now yay)

Block of the Month Update

Have finished the stitching on Block One of The Night Before Christmas and Block Five of Tiny Town. Both blocks still need buttons but I don't like to put them on until I have finished quilting.
