Le Jardin Block One
Finally finished block one of my Le Jardin Quilt.
I have almost completed block two of my Tiny Town quilt. Just have to do the handstitching then I will post a picture. Fabric for block 3 has already arrived so had better get my butt into gear cause I am determined not to get behind on this quilt - like I do with every other BOM that I do :(

New Fabric
Red Rose Farm
I have just received my fat quarter bundle of this fabric and like it better than the photos. The fabric is actually brighter. The yellow and blue are lovely. I intend to make a pretty bag and bed runner or quilt out of this. Lovers of pretty roses will not be disappointed with the Red Rose Farm range.

Tiny Town Block One
Block One finished (yay). I machine appliqued with a button hole stitch. There are a few little buttons to go on for the door handles but I will leave those till the quilt is finished and quilted.
If you are interested in doing this quilt, I am doing it through The Fat Quarter Shop but I think they have filled their quota. I have also seen it on http://www.shabbyfabrics.com/ but to date have not seen it available in Australia. Will let you know if I do.
The pattern can be purchased from the designer www.bunnyhilldesigns.com.

Tiny Town BOM
Just received Block One of the Tiny Town Block of the Month by Bunny Hill Designs. I am doing it through The Fat Quarter Shop (USA) they are using the Fresh Cottons range from Fig Tree Quilts and Martinique by 3 Sisters (as shown in photo).
I am a cheat and will machine applique mine so will show you photo when it's finished. I am also too lazy to reverse the pattern when it's not completely necessary, so some of my houses etc will be facing the opposite direction to the pattern but they still look cute.
Talk soon Rob xo

Quilting Machine Fixed
FINALLY got my sewing machine back and it has a new bobbin case which works like a dream. Can't believe I put up with the old one for so long. I have just finished quilting the Beach House Large Runner (shown above) and will quilt my Home Sweet Home quilt later today if I get motivated.
Yesterday received my Luna Notte Fat Quarter Bundle. These fabrics are just beautiful. The colours have an antique look about them. I have put mine in this cute tin box and placed them on display (too yummy to store away).
Talk soon. Rob

Lumiere de Noel
I have received my Layer Cake of Lumiere de Noel and have found a lovely pattern from Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. This pattern is an alteration to a quilt in Carrie's book 'Schnibbles Times Two'. If you also like this quilt go to Carrie's blog http://www.lavieenrosie.typepad.com/ and find her instructions on how to make the star's in the middle of the McGuffey Quilt (you also have to have your copy of her new book).
I am recovering well from my op but haven't been able to sew for over two weeks (am going mad!!!). My quilting machine is still in hospital with bobbin case drama so have to wait another week before I can finish all my wares that need to be quilted. Tonight I made a bag on my old Janome so will start to get a few easy things finished while my leg is slowly recovering.
The cold weather and inability to sit at a sewing machine has allowed be to get some hand quilting done. I love handquilting but the climate in Queensland only allows a few months of each year to enjoy it without sweating (I don't have air conditioning) so am making the most of it.
Talk soon

New Fabrics
Thought you might like a look at the new fabrics I have just received from one of my fav fabric stores. Park Avenue by 3 sisters is just beautiful. Not sure what I will do with it yet but that doesn't matter!!!! Flower Sugar is so cute. I am doing a new quilt by Leanne's Beasley in that.
Poodle is the new range from Jennifer Paganelli. I have made a yellow shopping tote already in my store and I think I will make some more totes with the blue and pink roses as well (maybe).
Heading into hospital this week for a minor op so won't have anything new this week. Plus my quilting machine has broken so also has to go into hospital. I have a lovely runner half quilted in Robyn Pandolphs Beach House fabric so that will be in the store when my machine and I recover from our hospital visits.

French General Fabrics
I have fallen in love with French General Fabrics. Ranges include Rouenneries, Rural Jardin, Lumiere de Noel and the soon to be released (in Oct at Fat Quarter Shop) Maison De Garance. All ranges are just beautiful. I am making the lovely Le Jardin quilt (designed by Anne Sutton as shown in photo above) in the Rural Jardin fabrics. The french ticking fabrics are lovely and I have made a few cushions, runners and am working on a lovely quilt ( which will appear in my shop one day).
Kaari Meng (owner of French General) is a very clever lady and if I ever make it to USA her store will be on my must visit list.

UFO Photos as Promised
Raining and cold in Qld (yay) so hubby had to cancel cattle jobs today so I get to sew (that is why I said yay). Thought I would firstly take photos of my UFO's and post them before I sat down to sew. The above photos are 'A Quilters Journal' designed by Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched. The fabrics I used are 'Gatherings' by Jan Patek. Will post photos of Home Sweet Home in separate post. regards xo

New to Blog World
Well, here I go, this is my first attempt at blogging!!
I have started this blog to attach to my store so my customers can see what I am sewing, what fabric I have purchased and (I am ashamed to admit) what fabric I have found (cause I forgot I even had it).
At the moment I am on a little UFO (unfinished objects for those not from the quilting world) campaign. When we recently built our farmhouse and moved house, I found a few stitcheries I had forgotten about so decided I needed to finish a few quilts that I had put aside.
My first UFO was 'A Gardeners Journal' which is a lovely book by Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched. I have finally finished the quilt top, quilted in the ditch and bound the quilt. Now it is cooling down in Qld I am going to do a little handquilting on it (with running stitch) Will post some photos soon.
My second UFO is Home Sweet Home by Blackbird Designs. I have just finished the 9th and final house block and am now about to start on the borders. The photo is Block 4 called 41 Thistle Hill Terrace from this lovely quilt. Will post more photos soon.
Online Store - I am working on two new bags at the moment. Fabrics are Woodland Delights and Freebird by MoMo so will post them in the store soon.
Well had better sign off and get back to sewing.
Kind regards Robyn
